Per N.J.S.A. 8:28-1.2, a tanning facility is any location, place, area, structure, or business unit, either as a sole service or in conjunction with other services, that provides consumers with access to sunlamp products, ultraviolent lamps or other equipment intended to induce skin tanning through the irradiation of any part of the human body for cosmetic or non-medical purposes.

8:28-2.1 Certification fees

(a) The Department shall collect a non-refundable fee from each applicant in the following amount:

1. For initial registration or annual renewal registration:
   1. Includes first ten sunlamp products: $300
      
      
2. For additional sunlamp products:
   1. Each additional sunlamp product over 10: +$10
