New Jersey has a statewide network of centers to provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment/management, patient/family education, and psychosocial counseling for children and adults with hemophilia or other disorders of bleeding or coagulation. Related services are also available or can be coordinated for patients and their family members.
A health insurance assistance program for persons with hemophilia is administered by The Hemophilia Association of New Jersey through partial grant funding from the Department of Health. Children and adults may be eligible for the insurance program if they are on home care which is coordinated through a designated hemophilia treatment center.
