State Systems Development Initiative (SSDI)

State Systems Development Initiative (SSDI)

The New Jersey SSDI project is a federally funded project designed to bolster capabilities to collect, manage, and analyze maternal and child health (MCH) data. The SSDI project aims to create a sustainable framework for MCH data management and utilization.

The project's goals are to:

  • Strengthen MCH Data Infrastructure by supporting the Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant (MCHBG) to ensure comprehensive and accurate data collection.
  • Promote data-informed decision-making to improve MCH programming, including assessment, planning, implementation of public health initiatives, and priority setting.
  • Support strategic planning by contributing to the development of New Jersey's five-year State Action Plan and providing critical data and analytics to inform interventions aimed at improving MCH outcomes across the state.
