Child Evaluation Centers

Program Description

Through a statewide network, these 8 centers provide a multidisciplinary evaluation of children with congenital or acquired neuro-developmental and behavioral disorders and facilitate the development of an individual service plan.  In addition, 4 of the centers provide diagnostic services for children with or suspected of having Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

Goal

The goal of CECs is to provide comprehensive, developmental, medical, health focused evaluations for children from birth through adolescence with or at risk for developmental and behavioral disorders.  Specifically, these centers target children 21 years and younger with or at risk for congenital or acquired neurodevelopmental disorders including psychological disorders; organic central nervous system disorders; sensory disorders; and communication disorders.
