While not all diagnoses are mandated to be registered, a majority of Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) in need of services through SCHS SPSP will need to be registered.

What Services Are Provided by Pediatric Tertiary Care (PTC) Centers ?

PTC Centers serve as state of the art centers for comprehensive interdisciplinary diagnostic and/or treatment services in sub-specialty areas of Pediatrics on an outpatient basis. All PTC Centers are located in a New Jersey medical school or affiliated hospital accredited by the Joint Commission Accreditation of Hospital Organizations, with a pediatric residency training program accredited by the Liaison Committee of Graduate Education.

All Centers have access to all other medical support services necessary for diagnosis of a child, which include, but are not limited to: imaging, nuclear medicine, laboratory, and radiology services.

Who is eligible for Services Provided by PTC Centers?

Children birth through 21 years of age needing specialty care.
