TRENTON, NEW JERSEY -- As it has done for many years, the New Jersey Child Care Advisory Council (CCAC) helped the State Department of Human Services (DHS) kick off its portion of the NJ State Employees Gifts for Kids Drive, by bringing plenty of toys and gifts to its November 15th meeting.
The drive runs from November 20 through December 14 . The gifts will go to needy children throughout New Jersey .
“Our members look forward to our November meeting each year when they get to launch the holiday giving season,” said Justine Foley, Chair-elect of the CCAC. “These toys and gifts will help children who otherwise might not have a very festive season.”
Terri Buccarelli, Executive Director, Office of Early Care and Education and Coordinator of the Council, sees that the gifts are distributed through the Human Services network of contacts.
According to Kinya Williams, in the Office of Public Affairs and the representative for DHS Central Office in Trenton , there are collection boxes at many of the DHS facilities across the state so that DHS employees have convenient drop-off sites.
