NJ Department of Education Invites Public Comment on the New Jersey Kindergarten Implementation Guidelines
The Guidelines, conceived as an essential step in building continuity from preschool to grade three, respond to school districts’ many questions about developmentally appropriate kindergarten practices in the twenty-first century. The document examines the major components of successful kindergarten programming. School districts are encouraged to use the Guidelines as a springboard for discussion and action. Applied systematically and comprehensively, these components can yield high-quality programming for New Jersey’s kindergarten classrooms. The Guidelines, released on November 22, 2010 are located on the Department’s web site at: https://www.nj.gov/education/ece/dap/ Comments will be accepted through January 3, 2010 using the web site comment form. |
