• Current Rules
  Rules that have been adopted by the State Board of Education and/or the Commissioner of Education, published in the New Jersey Register and, therefore, are in effect.
• Proposed Rules
  Rules that are being considered by the State Board of Education and/or the Commissioner of Education.
• New Jersey Statutes Annotated (N.J.S.A.) Title 18A
  The State Board of Education and Commissioner of Education adopt regulations to implement specific portions of education law. Education rules and regulations must be grounded in state education law. N.J.S.A. 18A can be accessed via the websites of the N.J. Legislature or Rutgers University School of Law - Newark. • Rulemaking Petitions
  Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 1:30-4.1, members of the public can petition the Department to modify or repeal existing rules or to adopt new rules.
