The New Jersey Advisory Commission on the Status of Women (NJACSW) is in but not of DCF.  NJACSW was created in 1974 to act as an advisor and advocate for New Jersey women of all races and creeds. Working with the New Jersey Division on Women, the NJACSW is committed to addressing the critical concerns and issues confronting New Jersey women.

 

The 11 member Commission makes recommendations to the Division regarding policies and programs; provides technical assistance to county and municipal commissions on women; assists in the formation of commissions; and co-sponsors several events with the Division on Women.

Upcoming Schedule

The New Jersey Advisory Council on the Status of Women will be hosting a business meeting on February 22, 1-3 pm ET. This meeting information has been posted and distributed as required by N.J.S.A.10:4-18 of the “Open Public Meeting Act.” The date, time and location of the meeting is subject to change and additional meetings may be scheduled.

All meetings will be held virtually until further notice. To access the virtual meeting on Feb. 22, click here.  The meeting link will be live on that date between the hours of 1-3 PM for members of the public to view the proceedings.
