The Office of Preschool Education assists educators in state-funded preschool programs to foster a nurturing, classroom-based learning environment designed to make high-quality, developmentally appropriate practices, and equitable opportunities available to New Jersey’s youngest learners.  The service priority of the office is grounded in the facilitation of exemplary program development and best practice implementation of research-based strategies for student success. The office provides leadership, guidance, professional learning opportunities, and resources to support the educators, families and communities of New Jersey’s preschool children enrolled in school district, private, and Head Start programs.
