Identifying Discretionary Grant Payments

When payments are made for discretionary grants, districts and other agencies often are unable to identify the program associated with the payment. The bank statement usually indicates "NJDOE" followed by the Notice of Grant Opportunity (NGO) code (2 letters and two numbers, for example CA37). 

To locate the appropriate budget costs codes, go to the  Uniform Minimum Chart of Accounts web page and to submit refunds to the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) visit the School Finance web page.
