Purpose: The Improving Achievement in English Language Arts and Mathematics for Students with Disabilities Grant Program is intended to increase subgroup achievement in English Language Arts (ELA) and/or Mathematics among students with disabilities in Priority and Focus schools. This program is funded from Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) funds. The outcomes sought from this program are sustainable increases in academic performance for students with disabilities, with a focus on English Language Arts (ELA)and/or Mathematics (Math) achievement; and the increased inclusion of students with disabilities in general education settings. Eligibility to apply for this Improving Achievement in English Language Arts and Mathematics for Students with Disabilities Grant Program is open to all NJ LEAs with Priority and/or focus schools. Each eligible LEA may include up to three priority and/or focus schools in their application. This 14 month program will run July 1, 2013 � August 31, 2014.
