Purpose: The New Jersey Achievement Coaches Program is a state-funded initiative designed to empower several of New Jerseys outstanding educators to provide direct support to their peers through high quality training and resources. NJDOE will establish one or more cohorts (per LEA) consisting of teachers and administrators who will attend state-led caching sessions to receive materials and training on how to turn-key those sessions to other educators. A companion grant program (Achievement Coaches Content Developers Program) will be offered to support this effort. This limited competitive grant program is open to LEAs. The number of cohorts a LEA may apply for is contingent on the enrollment of the district. The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has established a 7 month grant program using RTTT3 funding. Based on the availability of federal resources, this seven month grant program will begin February 1, 2015 and end on August 31, 2015.
