The Department of Human Services' Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), with the support of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration's (SAMHSA) State Opioid Response grant, held its second annual Summit on September 21st and 22nd. The Division's goal for this year’s summit was to address the stigma and misinformation surrounding Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), the impact of COVID-19 on OUD and mental health, to enhance the understanding of treatment options, such as Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), and OUD treatment and supports for populations such as the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
