Language Access Plan

The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA) is committed to ensuring meaningful access to its programs, services, and resources for individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). Language assistance services are provided at no cost to the public.

In accordance with New Jersey’s Language Access Law, P.L. 2023, c.263, DMAVA has developed this Language Access Plan as part of the State’s broader commitment to equitable and accessible government services for New Jersey’s diverse communities.

DMAVA is comprised of multiple divisions, facilities, and programs that interact with the public in different ways, including in-person services, phone and written communications, and online platforms. Accordingly, this Language Access Plan reflects a coordinated and agency-wide overview of how language access services are provided across covered public-facing and service-based areas.

The information contained in this Plan reflects DMAVA’s current assessment, practices, services, staffing, and resources as of December 2025. DMAVA is committed to the continued implementation and improvement of language access services and will update this Plan as necessary to remain in compliance with the law and responsive to evolving community needs.
