Speed Limits For State Roads

Route NJ 168
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 168 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Gloucester County:
i. In the Township of Washington:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between the southernmost intersection with Route NJ 42 and the Washington Township – Gloucester Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.80); thence
2. In Camden County:
i. In the Township of Gloucester:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between the Washington Township – Gloucester Township corporate line and Central Avenue (approximate mileposts 0.80 to 1.09); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between Central Avenue and 200 feet south of Lake Avenue, except for 25 MPH when passing through the St. Jude School and Gloucester Township Elementary School zone during recess, when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway, or while children are going to, or leaving school during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 1.09 to 2.22); thence
(C) Zone 3: 30 MPH between 200 feet south of Lake Avenue and Prospect Avenue (approximate mileposts 2.22 to 2.67); thence
(D) Zone 4: 45 MPH between Prospect Avenue and Chews Landing – Clementon Road (County Route 683) (approximate mileposts 2.67 to 4.71); thence
(E) Zone 5: 40 MPH between Chews Landing – Clementon Road and the Gloucester Township – Runnemede Borough corporate line (Evesham Road – County Route 544) (approximate mileposts 4.71 to 5.39); thence
ii. In the Borough of Runnemede:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Gloucester Township – Runnemede Borough corporate line (Evesham Road – County Route 544) and Eleventh Avenue (approximate mileposts 5.39 to 6.40); thence
(2) For both directions of traffic:
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between Eleventh Avenue and the Runnemede Borough – Bellmawr Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 6.40 to 6.58); thence
iii. In the Borough of Bellmawr:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the Runnemede Borough – Bellmawr Borough corporate line to the Bellmawr Borough – Mount Ephraim Borough/Haddon Heights Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 6.58 to 7.42); thence
iv.  In the Borough of Haddon Heights:
(1) For the northbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the Bellmawr Borough – Mount Ephraim Borough/Haddon Heights Borough corporate line and the Haddon Heights Borough – Mount Ephraim Borough northerly corporate line (approximate mileposts 7.42 to 7.97); thence
v.  In the Borough of Mount Ephraim:
(1) For the southbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the Bellmawr Borough – Mount Ephraim Borough/Haddon Heights Borough corporate line and the Haddon Heights Borough – Mount Ephraim Borough northerly corporate line (approximate mileposts 7.42 to 7.97); thence
(2) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the Mount Ephraim Borough – Haddon Heights Borough northerly corporate line and the Mount Ephraim Borough – Haddon Township/Audubon Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 7.97 to 8.60); thence
vi.  In the Township of Haddon:
(1) For the southbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the Mount Ephraim Borough – Haddon Township/Audubon Borough corporate line and North Merchant Street (approximate mileposts 8.60 to 8.62); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between North Merchant Street and the Haddon Township – City of Camden southerly corporate line (Newton Creek) (approximate mileposts 8.62 to 9.52); thence
(2) For the northbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Audubon Park Borough – Haddon Township corporate line and Route US 130 (approximate mileposts 9.55 to 9.72); thence
(B) Zone 2: 35 MPH between Route US 130 and the Haddon Township – City of Camden northerly corporate line (approximate mileposts 9.72 to 10.01); thence
vii.  In the Borough of Audubon:
(1) For the northbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the Mount Ephraim Borough – Haddon Township/Audubon Borough corporate line and North Merchant Street (approximate mileposts 8.60 to 8.62); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between North Merchant Street and the Audubon Borough – Audubon Park Borough corporate line (Nicholson Road – County Route 635) (approximate mileposts 8.62 to 8.99); thence
viii.  In the Borough of Audubon Park:
(1) For the northbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Audubon Borough – Audubon Park Borough corporate line (Nicholson Road – County Route 635) (approximate mileposts 8.99 to 9.55); thence
ix.  In the City of Camden:
(1) For the southbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Haddon Township – City of Camden southerly corporate line (Newton Creek) and Route US 130 (approximate mileposts 9.52 to 9.72); thence
(B) Zone 2: 35 MPH between Route US 130 and the Haddon Township – City of Camden northerly corporate line (approximate mileposts 9.72 to 10.01); thence
(C) Zone 3: 35 MPH between the City of Camden – Woodlynne Borough corporate line and Fairview Street (approximate mileposts 10.37 to 10.44).
(2) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Haddon Township – City of Camden northerly corporate line and the City of Camden – Woodlynne Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 10.01 to 10.37); thence
x.  In the Borough of Woodlynne:
(1) For the northbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the City of Camden – Woodlynne Borough corporate line and Fairview Street (approximate mileposts 10.37 to 10.44).
