Speed Limits For State Roads

Route I - 295
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route I-295 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Salem County:
NOTE: State Highway Route I-295 is under Delaware River and Bay Authority jurisdiction from approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.95.
NOTE: State Highway Route I-295 is coincident with State Highway Route US 40 from approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.73.
i. In the Township of Pennsville:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the Delaware River and Bay Authority -New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdictional line (Route US 130-Route NJ 49) and the Pennsville Township - Carneys Point Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 0.95 to 1.19); thence
ii. In the Township of Carneys Point:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the Pennsville Township - Carneys Point Township corporate line and 2,160 feet south of Hollywood Avenue (approximate mileposts 1.19 to 2.62); thence
(B) Zone 2: 65 MPH between 2,160 feet south of Hollywood Avenue and the Carneys Point Township - Oldmans Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 2.62 to 5.35); thence
iii. In the Township of Oldmans:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH within the corporate limits (approximate mileposts 5.35 to 8.93); thence
2. In Gloucester County:

(B) Zone 2: 65 MPH between  the northernmost Bellmawr Borough - Westville Borough corporate line and the Route I-295-Route NJ 42 interchange (approximate mileposts 25.86 to 26.55); thence
(C) Zone 3: 55 MPH between the Route I-295-Route NJ 42 interchange and the Route I-295-Route I-76 interchange (approximate mileposts 26.55 to 27.10).
(D) Zone 4: 35 MPH between the Route I-295 Route I-76 interchange and 1,160 feet south of Bell Road (approximate mileposts 27.10 to 27.49); thence
