Christine Guhl-Sadovy was appointed to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities by Governor Murphy in May 2023.

 

From September 2023 to June 2026, Commissioner Guhl-Sadovy served as Board President, leading with the priorities of increasing stakeholder outreach and providing assistance to low- and moderate-income ratepayers. Her leadership brought actions such as relief through historic utility bill credits, as well as the expansion of the nation-leading community solar program.

 

Commissioner Guhl-Sadovy is a member of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), serving on the Energy Resources and the Environment and the Consumers and the Public Interest committees. She also serves on NARUC's Mid-Atlantic Conference of Regulatory Utilities Commissioners (MACRUC).

 

Prior to joining the Board as a commissioner, Guhl-Sadovy served as Cabinet Secretary in the Governor's Office, where she led the creation of the Governor’s Fellows Program and the state’s telework program.

 

Before joining the Governor's Office, Commissioner Guhl-Sadovy worked on staff at NJBPU, where she rose to the position of chief of staff under President Joe Fiordaliso. She has also held roles at the national Sierra Club, where she worked on state and federal energy policy.
