Buildings

Restrooms are open and are cleaned frequently.

Park offices, visitor centers, nature centers and historic sites are open. Please check our website or call ahead to confirm their hours of operation.

Camping

Reservations are being accepted for family tent and trailer campsites, group campsites, primitive campsites, RV sites, cabins, shelters, lean-tos and wilderness campsites up to 11 months in advance.

Reservations can be made by visiting camping.nj.gov.

Swimming

Island Beach State Park will be staffed with lifeguards from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend.

Swimming is only permitted in designated swim areas when lifeguards on are duty.

The following lakefront swim areas are anticipated to open for swimming in mid-June. In the meantime, lakefront beaches continue to be open for picnicking and sunbathing. Please continue to check back to this page for specific opening dates and related details.
