Honoring Our Heroes: A 21-County Salute on Our 250th Anniversary
Lawrenceville, NJ – On October 21, 2026, Vincent Solomeno, Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Veterans Affairs, kicked off his annual tour of the Garden State's twenty-one counties. For the third consecutive year, Commissioner Solomeno will travel across New Jersey, engaging with Veterans, their family members, caregivers, and the service organizations that work tirelessly to honor and support those who wore America's uniform.
This year’s tour holds special significance, as it coincides with the United States’ 250th Anniversary. The tour will feature a series of public events and town halls, providing opportunities for meaningful connections with Veterans at every stage of their journey – from student veterans to distinguished medal recipients. The Veterans 21 County Tour kicked off at 3:00 pm, October 21, 2025, at High Point Veterans Memorial, and culminates with the state’s observance of Veterans Day at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Holmdel, New Jersey, on November 11th at 11:00 AM.
Media representatives are invited to attend and cover this inspiring event. For more information or to arrange interviews, please contact Rebecca Mooney.
