Purpose: The InnovateNJ Summer Blended & Personalized Learning Grant program is intended to increase the academic achievement of students in Title I served schools by providing the opportunity to develop and implement summer blended and personalized learning programs for students in grades 3-9 that incorporate technology to supplement and/or complement their traditional school year instruction. The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has established a two-month summer grant program using FY15 Title I carryover funds. Eligible LEAs may apply on behalf of up to 2 of their Title I served schools (Title I targeted assistance, or Title I schoolwide schools) to participate in this grant program. Applicants must serve at least 25 students. Awards are based on participant numbers, with the maximum award as $100,000. Awards will be made in rank order on a regional basis and it is anticipated that 10-15 awards will be made. Based on the availability of federal resources, this two-month summer grant program will begin July 1, 2016 and end on August 31, 2016.
