The Commission and State Office of the Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund review applications in accordance with the governing laws, regulations, policies and procedures of the Fund in effect when the application is reviewed. The Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund is not an entitlement program. Each application is analyzed using many factors, including but not limited to: the availability of funds; the governing laws, regulations, policies and procedures of the Fund; the clinical and diagnostic presentation of the applicant; current scientific data, and; guidelines published by the Food and Drug Administration. These factors are subject to change; thus, past payment for services does not guarantee future payment for the same or any other services.
