Payment Information

IMPORTANT:

  • You can check the status of your application here  
  • If your application has been approved and is Payment in Progress, we are processing your payment and it is on the way. Please monitor emails and text messages for updates.
  • Approved applications that have NOT selected a payment preference by January 18, 2023 will receive their benefit via check to the address on their application. You will be notified when your payment is disbursed. 
  • Please note that banks may have restrictions on funds being deposited into accounts that do not contain the main applicant's name.  This may result in checks being rejected, or in deposited funds not being available.  Consult the banking institution if you are experiencing an issue with your payment prior to contacting us. 

Missing Payment?

If you have received a notification that your payment was disbursed but have not received your benefit in 5-7 business days, please email us at ExcludedNJFundQuestions@dhs.nj.gov with “Payment Not Received” in the subject line and your application ID number and we will be in touch with you.  If your application status is still 'Payment in Progress,' please wait for our disbursement notification prior to contacting us.

If you encounter any organization or entity seeking to charge money or solicit personal information to provide application assistance, please call 800-242-5846 to report potential fraud.
