Siteimprove Metrics

Siteimprove is a digital optimization tool that can help NJ agencies enhance their websites' performance, accessibility, and content quality. Its benefits include ensuring compliance with regulations, improving user experience, and providing actionable insights to strengthen online services.
The New Jersey Office of Information Technology (NJOIT) acquired Siteimprove as an enterprise-wide solution to assist in meeting accessibility standards. This tool aids NJ agencies in improving website performance, accessibility, and content quality, offering actionable insights for online service enhancement.
Siteimprove frequently scans websites to identify problems with content quality, search engine optimization, and accessibility according to WCAG guidelines. It presents these findings in easy-to-understand reports that simplify content management and highlight areas for improvement, detecting issues such as missing alternative text for images, empty headings, vague link text, and forms that are difficult to use. Siteimprove allows users to filter issues by difficulty, responsibility such as content writing or UX design or element type, including forms and images.
Web Publishers within NJOIT Digital Services have been using Siteimprove to continuously evaluate and update all State of NJ websites via the statewide content management system (OpenText/Teamsite), aiming to achieve a score of 96 or higher.
