Intern Testimonials

I genuinely love interning for the NJ Department of the Treasury because I get to see the combination of both my majors, political science and communication, in action. Throughout my internship, I have learned more about state policies, government programs, and the budget process than any class could offer. This experience has given me valuable insight into a career in public service and I encourage any college student who is interested in state government or public service to apply for a fall internship! – Elizabeth Gorman, Rutgers University, Class of 2028

"Interning at the NJ Department of the Treasury has been transformative, which is why I chose to return for two consecutive summers. I feel that I have truly grown professionally through my day-to-day interactions. I have also expanded my knowledge of fiscal policy and have seen the state’s initiatives to ensure responsible stewardship of public resources firsthand. In my position, I have also had the opportunity to intertwine my interests in policy and economic strategy. - Frankie Luna, Columbia University, Class of 2028
