Carole Dorothy Joyce 2026 Student Filmmaker Grant – Now Accepting Submissions

A student filmmaker may already have the story, the vision, and the passion. What they most likely don't have is the support and funding they need to move their film forward.

501(c)3 nonprofit From the Heart Productions is pleased to announce we are now accepting applications for the 2026 Carole Dorothy Joyce Grant for Student Filmmakers.

The application deadline is November 30, 2026.

We're asking film schools and film commissions to help us share this opportunity with emerging filmmakers.

Who Can Apply?

The grant seeks films from student filmmakers enrolled in a university, college, community college, extension course, or high school who need help starting or finishing their film.

Films must be unique and make a contribution to society.

Short and feature-length narratives and documentaries are eligible, and projects must be budgeted at $50,000 or less. Student filmmakers from any country are welcome to apply.

What Will the Winner Receive?

• $3,000 in cash
• Three complimentary one-hour film consultations with Carole Joyce
• 20% off crowdfunding campaign setup, management, and consulting from filmmaker Jenny Waldo
• 15% off expendables from Filmtools
• 10% off DCP conversion services, plus complimentary use of the facility, from Simple DCP

Every Applicant Receives Something Valuable
