About New Jersey Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Authority
The New Jersey Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Authority (NJMIHIA) is the nation’s first state authority dedicated exclusively to improving maternal and infant health outcomes and addressing racial and ethnic disparities in care.
Established in 2023, NJMIHIA connects and aligns healthcare, community, policy, workforce, and innovation systems to strengthen support for mothers, babies, and families across New Jersey.

Doula Graduation
NJMIHIA celebrated the graduation of 30 community-based doulas and 22 facilitators through its Community-Based Doula Training Program.
G.L.O.W. Program
NJMIHIA's $1 million G.L.O.W. Program awards support community maternal health organizations and expand services for New Jersey families.

The Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Center, also known as the Center, is a first-of-its-kind statewide hub in Trenton that will bring together clinical care, workforce development, social services, research, innovation, and community support under one roof.
NJMIHIA Doula Training Program
NJMIHIA’s Community-Based Doula Training Program prepares culturally responsive doulas to provide trusted, community-centered support for families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.
