Best Practices

The NJ Small Business Manual Is Now Live:  Any business or anyone who works with businesses can now download a copy of the NJBAC’s NJ Small Business Manual to get up to speed with the basics of starting and running a business in New Jersey.  For those businesses or entities that wish to have a hardcopy of the manual, please request the number of hardcopies desired to Don Newman, Manager of the Office of Small Business Advocacy via email.

Small Business Week – Show Me The Resources Event: On May 3rd from 9AM – 1PM, NJBAC, NJEDA, the Small Business Administration, and Small Business Development Centers staff will be on hand to speak about support for small business, clean energy, arts and culture, the booming film industry and much more!  Register online now to get plugged in to all of the grants and support that are out there in NJ to support small business prosperity!

 

Grant Funds Available - Planning, Design, and Construction of Active Transportation Networks: The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) released a Notice of Funding Opportunity announcing up to $44.5 million in new funding for the Active Transportation Infrastructure Investment Program (ATIIP). This funding can be used to build walking and bicycling trails, shared-use paths, bike lanes, and sidewalks that connect destinations within communities and/or connect communities to each other. Applications are due to via grants.gov no later than Monday, June 17, 2024.

Job Opportunity

Neighborhood Preservation Program Coordinator – Parkside Business & Community Partnership, Inc. (PBCIP):  PBCIB seeks a part-time coordinator for the Parkside Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) in Camden. This is a State-funded position that is expected to exist through 2026.
