Rest Areas

Route I-80 Rest Area (eastbound) (Knowlton Township)
Certain parts of the Route I-80 Rest Area, located in the Township of Knowlton in Morris County, are under New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdiction.  Traffic within this rest area is hereby controlled by the following regulations:
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of the rest area described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
(1) For the eastbound rest area:
(A) Zone 1: 20 MPH along all ramps and roadways within the rest area at approximate milepost 7.50
Route I-80 Rest Area (westbound) (Roxbury Township)
Certain parts of the Route I-80 Rest Area, located in the Township of Roxbury in Morris County, are under New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdiction.  Traffic within this rest area is hereby controlled by the following regulations:
(a) The certain parts of the rest area described in this subsection prohibit certain classes of vehicles as described below:
(1) No vehicles under five (5) tons gross vehicle weight:
(A) Along all ramps and roadways within the rest area at approximate milepost 32.2.
(b) The certain parts of the rest area described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no stopping or standing” zones, where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) Along all ramps and roadways within the rest area at approximate mileposts 32.2, except in designated areas and between painted lines.
(c) The certain parts of the rest area described in this subsection are hereby designated for one way traffic:
(1) One-way streets in the westbound direction of traffic:
(A) Along all ramps and roadways within the rest area at approximate milepost 32.2.
