Trenton – Governor Phil Murphy today reinstated an executive order implementing Sandy Recovery efforts where youth volunteers can help rebuild homes damaged by Superstorm Sandy.
“In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, New Jersey came together as one to restore this great state," Governor Murphy said. "We have provided assistance to thousands of New Jerseyans and we must continue to work together to build New Jersey to be stronger and more resilient for upcoming generations."
This executive order will lift the restrictions preventing 14 to 17-year-olds from volunteering for nonprofit organizations engaged in housing construction.
