Hearing Aid Project
The New Jersey Hearing Aid Project offers free refurbished hearing aids for individuals that meet program eligibility. The Hearing Aid Project is an innovative initiative launched by the New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DDHH), in partnership with Montclair State University.
Program Eligibility:
- Age 65+ or have a hearing loss and are disabled receiving Social Security Disability Income SSDI
- New Jersey resident
- Annual income no greater than $42,142 if single; $49,209 if married
If enrolled in PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged & Disabled) fill out NJHAP application Form A.

If eligible and approved, you will receive information to complete an evaluation with one of our participating audiologists.
For residents living in Atlantic, Salem, Gloucester, Cumberland and Cape May counties, we are able to offer a mobile audiology service for your evaluation. Once your application is approved, you can schedule an appointment by contacting:
