Adopted Rule Amendment Extending Certain Center Expiration Dates:

The efforts of the Office of Planning Advocacy are currently focused on the Plan Endorsement process for those municipalities that have expressed an interest in extending their Center designation. Pursuant to its authority under N.J.S.A. 52:18A-203, the State Planning Commission (Commission) amended N.J.A.C. 5:85-7.21 to extend the expiration dates of certain plan endorsements and center designations issued by the Commission prior to December 31, 2009, beyond their otherwise applicable expiration dates. The amendment extended only those endorsements and center designations set to expire on or before December 31, 2019, to June 30, 2020. This extension gives the Commission time to work with the municipalities to continue their centers through Plan Endorsement.
