Permanent Student Representative

The permanent student representative to the State Board of Education is selected through the N. J. Association of Student Councils (NJASC).

The student representative serves as the State Board’s liaison to the student community. The student representative serves for 12 months as a non-voting member at the public meetings of the State Board of Education. The student representative also makes a presentation to the State Board at each public meeting.

The State Board of Education Student Representative for the 2023-2024 school year is Nilanjana Ghosh, a junior at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North in Mercer County.
