Step 3: Find a CHHA Job

Once you have become certified home health aide your next step will be to find a CHHA job. You can search for CHHA positions at DOL’s Job Source web page. To do so, visit the Job Source website and under “Search Options,” enter keywords such as “CHHA” and “home health aide” to see a list of available CHHA jobs. Jobs are ranked by how closely they match the keywords you used, and can be sorted by location, company name, and date of job posting. The Job Source web page also allows you to see which occupations have “Bright Outlooks,” meaning that they are expected to grow over the next several years.

You can also search for CHHA jobs on job search websites such as Indeed and Career Builder.

When you have identified a company and job that you would like to apply to, visit that company’s website for more information about how to apply.

The NJ Home Care and Hospice Association also offers a “Career Center” that is a valuable resource for individuals seeking jobs as CHAAs: https://careers.homecarenj.org/
