On January 23, 2024, the Pa. Department of Environmental Protection updated its drought declarations for the Commonwealth. While there are a few Pa. counties still in drought watch or drought warning, the five Pa. Delaware River Basin (DRB) counties that were in drought watch have been removed. The entire DRB is in normal conditions (no drought).

Current DRBC Drought Status: NORMAL
The DRBC's drought management and operating plans are implemented based on the volume of storage available in several key reservoirs. To date, reservoir levels are in the "normal" range.
During drought conditions, the DRBC has several objectives:
- Preserve Reservoir Storage
- Manage the Salt Front
- Complement State Drought Management Programs
- Montague, N.J. Gage
- Under normal conditions, the Montague, N.J. flow target is 1,750 CFS
- Under normal conditions, the Montague, N.J. flow target is 1,750 CFS
- Trenton, N.J. Gage
- Under normal conditions, the effective flow target at Trenton, N.J. is 3,000 CFS
- Under normal conditions, the effective flow target at Trenton, N.J. is 3,000 CFS
