NJSLEDS Account Security Policy

NJSLEDS accounts are assigned to individual users. Keep your myNJ login information and NJSLEDS authorization code private.

Protect Your Account

Do not:

  • Log in using another person's credentials
  • Allow another person to use your login
  • Share a myNJ account
  • Share your authorization code
  • Activate an account on another user's behalf

Authorization codes are assigned to individual users. If another person uses your authorization code, the accounts involved may be blocked from NJSLEDS.

Why Account Security Matters

Activity in NJSLEDS, including file uploads, submissions, error reports and data views, is associated with the account used. Sharing account information can expose confidential student or staff data and may result in disabled accounts, revoked access or further investigation.

When Another User Needs Access

Each NJSLEDS user must receive their own account. If another staff member needs access, the district's Web User Administrator (WUA) must submit a user change request. Do not share an existing account while the request is being processed.

For account setup instructions, missing credentials and authorization code assistance, review the Accessing NJSLEDS Login Instructions.

Managing Multiple District Accounts

Users who support more than one district need a separate NJSLEDS account for each district. Using a different browser for each district is recommended to help prevent users from uploading or viewing information under the wrong district account.
