The new NJSLEDS Orientation Guide provides a starting point for users who are new to NJSLEDS or taking on new submission responsibilities. It covers the general submission workflow, records and uploads, errors and validation, SID and SMID matching, permissions, first-time access and available support. Now OpenStaff Vacancy is now open for the 2026-2027 school year ▼
The 2026-2027 Staff Vacancy submission opened Thursday, Aug. 6, and districts can now upload Staff Vacancy data for the new school year. Staff Vacancy handbooks and templates are on the User Resources page, and submission windows and deadlines are on the Submission Calendar.

Now OpenField change, merge and delete requests open for 2026-2027 ▼
Field change, merge and delete requests for Student Management and Staff Management are open again for the 2026-2027 school year. If a request from 2025-2026 was not resubmitted with the original case number before the deadline, it can now be resubmitted through the Contact Help Desk button on the NJSLEDS system homepage. Templates and instructions are on the Key Documents page.

No Action NeededState Assessment Registration removed from NJSLEDS starting 2026-2027 ▼
Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, State Assessment Registration (SAR) is no longer collected through NJSLEDS. Districts should register students directly in the applicable assessment vendor systems in accordance with the timelines and procedures established by each assessment program. For questions, contact assessment@doe.nj.gov.
