State Assessment Registration (SAR) Delete Requests – Important Update

As the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) prepares State Assessment Registration (SAR) data for upload to the state’s assessment platforms, districts should be aware of an important update regarding SAR data delete requests.

At this stage of the assessment preparation process, NJDOE is no longer able to process or fulfill requests to delete SAR records submitted through NJSLEDS. This step is necessary to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of assessment data to testing vendors.

Districts should also note that the SAR collection process will change in the upcoming school year. As a result, current-year SAR data will not carry forward or affect future assessment registrations, and there is no need to request deletion of records for this purpose.

Managing SAR Data Moving Forward

Districts will have the opportunity to review and manage student registration data directly within each assessment platform once local access becomes available, according to the following schedule:

  • ACCESS for ELLs – beginning January 2, 2026

  • DLM – beginning January 19, 2026

  • NJGPA-A, NJSLA-A, and NJSLA-S – beginning February 2, 2026

Once access opens, districts should make any necessary updates or adjustments within the appropriate assessment platform.

Questions or Support

For questions related to making updates within assessment platforms or for assessment-specific guidance, districts should contact the NJDOE Assessment Office at assessment@doe.nj.gov.
