In addition to overseeing the departments, agencies, boards and commissions that make up the executive branch, the governor signs bills into law and can call the legislature into special session.

State law allows for a maximum of $175,000.

The governor serves a four-year term. The governor may serve any number of terms, but he or she cannot serve more than two terms in a row.

The Office of the Governor will issue proclamations and letters of support for certain events and personal accomplishments deserving of recognition or to increase awareness of a significant issues of importance in the State of New Jersey. These public service documents are strictly honorary and are not legally binding. You can request one HERE.
