NJDOT re-opens Route 78 westbound exit 15
(Trenton)--The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has re-opened Route 78 exit 15 in Clinton at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday May 25, 2006. This ramp had been closed at the behest of the township since Friday May 11, 2006.
The closure was necessary to complete all work associated with NJDOT’s project to rebuild the exit ramp. This work is part of a NJDOT roadway project to improve the interchange of Route I-78 and Route 173 and Pittstown Road. The project will provide safety and operational improvements in the area of the interchange. This safety project is in response to an I-78 school bus rear-end accident.
The entire $ 3.8 million intersection improvement project is expected to be complete by the end of 2006.
