NJDOT to improve drainage on
Route 206 and Arreton Road in Princeton

(Trenton)- Commissioner Kris Kolluri today announced that the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will improve drainage along Route 206 in Princeton starting July 30.

“The Route 206 Arreton Road project will reduce flooding, protect the existing pavement and improve motorist safety in Princeton,” said Governor Jon S. Corzine.

NJDOT will replace the existing culvert at Arreton Road, construct a cross drain and inlets at Arreton Road, stabilize the eroded slope of Route 206, construct stone walls on Route 206 south of Arreton Road and improve the Route 206 guide rails.

NJDOT will temporarily close one lane and alternate traffic on Route 206 between Arreton Road and Herrontown Road on Mondays through Sundays from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning. The $1.1 million project is scheduled for completion in February 2009.

Real time traffic information is available to motorists at www.511nj.org.
