Route 4 westbound lane closures for
emergency bridge repairs in Bergen County
Forest Avenue bridge repairs require
temporary highway lane closures

(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced emergency bridge repairs requiring a temporary right lane closure of Route 4 westbound under the Forest Avenue Bridge in Paramus, Bergen County.

Beginning tonight Friday, February 3 at 10:30 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, NJDOT is scheduled to close the right lane on Route 4 before the Forest Avenue Bridge in Paramus to install a construction barrier. This will establish a permanent right shoulder closure on Route 4 westbound under Forest Avenue for emergency repairs to the bridge abutment. The work is anticipated to be completed this spring.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT's traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information and for NJDOT news follow us on Twitter @NJDOT_info.
