Route 17 southbound lanes closed for emergency water main repairs in Carlstadt

 


(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced two lanes of Route 17 southbound will be closed for emergency water main repairs in Carlstadt, Bergen County.

Starting at 8 p.m. tonight, Wednesday August 30, utility crews will close the center and right lanes, and the shoulder on Route 17 southbound at the intersection with Broad Street to investigate and repair a water main leak. The two lanes and shoulder will remain closed until further notice and motorists are advised to expect delays. One lane will remain open.


Variable message signs are being utilized to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the emergency repairs
