If you received the ANCHOR Homeowner Benefit last year, you may get a letter in mid-August saying we will automatically reapply for you using last year's information. If your details have not changed, no action is needed.
To update your address or bank details, you must log-in to the online filing service and submit a new application by September 15, 2024.
In late-August 2024, we will send out mail with instructions on how to apply for the ANCHOR Benefit to homeowners and tenants.
We will start distributing ANCHOR benefits in the fall, and continue on a rolling basis. Most applicants will receive their payment about 90 days after applying, unless additional information is needed to process the application.
This program offers property tax relief to New Jersey residents who own or rent property in New Jersey as their main home and meet certain income limits. This year's ANCHOR benefit is based on residency, income, and age from 2021.
