Was the principal residence you owned subject to local property taxes?
Payments-in-Lieu-of-Tax (P.I.L.O.T. payments) are not property taxes.
Totally and permanently disabled veterans who have a 100% exemption from local property taxes do not pay property taxes on their principal residence.
