Intelligent Transportation System Safety Program

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) improve transportation safety and mobility through the integration of advanced communications technologies into the transportation infrastructure and within vehicles. Funding offered through the HSIP for the ITS Safety Program on the State Highway System supports the design and construction of ITS systems for a broad range of wireless and wire line communications-based information and electronics technologies, such as providing advance detection and warning systems.
