Restricted Parking and Stopping

Route US 22
(a) The certain parts of State Highway Route US 22 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no stopping or standing” zones, where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times:
1. In Warren County:
i. In the Town of Phillipsburg:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
ii. In the Township of Lopatcong:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
iii. In the Township of Pohatcong:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
iv. In the Township of Greenwich:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
*NOTE*: Route US 22 coincides with Route I-78 from milepost 5.07 to milepost 33.88.
2. In Hunterdon County:
i. In the Township of Clinton:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
ii. In the Borough of Lebanon:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
iii. In the Township of Readington:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
3. In Somerset County:
i. In the Township of Branchburg:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
ii. In the Township of Bridgewater:
(1) No stopping or standing for the entire length:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
iii. In the Borough of Bound Brook:
(1) No stopping or standing:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
iv. In the Township of Green Brook:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) Between the Bridgewater Township corporate line and Rock Avenue.
v.  In the Borough of North Plainfield:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
vi.  In the Borough of Watchung:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) From the center line of Terrill Road to the Borough of Watchung / Township of Scotch Plains corporate line.
4. In Union County:
i. In the Township of Scotch Plains:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) From the Borough of Watchung / Township of Scotch Plains corporate line to a point 425 feet west of the center line of Union Avenue.
(2) No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:
(A) From the center line of Victor Street to a point 825 feet east of the center line of Victor Street.
ii.  In the Borough of Mountainside:
(1) No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:
(A) Between the intersection of New Providence Road and the Borough of Mountainside / Township of Scotch Plains corporate line.
iii.  In the Township of Springfield:
(1) No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:
(A) Between the intersection of Stern Avenue and South Springfield Avenue.
iv.  In the Township of Union:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) Between Chestnut Avenue and the Township of Union / Township of Springfield corporate line.
(b) The certain parts of State Highway Route US 22 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no parking bus stop” zones, where the parking of any vehicle other than omnibuses, picking up or discharging passengers, is prohibited at all times:
1. In Warren County:
i.  In the Town of Phillipsburg:
(1) Near side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:
(A) Potts Avenue (120 feet)
(B) Warren Street (120 feet)
(C) Lincoln Street (120 feet)
(D) Roseberry Street (120 feet)
(2) Far side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:
(A) Miller Street (105 feet)
(B) Firth Street (105 feet)
(C) Prospect Street (105 feet)
(D) Bates Street (105 feet)
(E) Pickford Avenue (105 feet)
(3) Mid-Block bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:
(A) Miller Street – Beginning 120 feet east of the easterly curb line of Miller Street and extending 135 feet easterly therefrom.
(4) Near side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:
(A) Lincoln Road (120 feet)
(B) Stadium Gate (Hillcrest Boulevard) (120 feet)
(5) Far side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:
(A) Pickford Avenue (105 feet)
(B) Sargent Avenue (105 feet)
(C) Ingersoll Avenue (105 feet)
(D) Prospect Street (105 feet)
2. In Hunterdon County:
i. In the Borough of Lebanon:
(1) Far side bus stop along the eastbound (southerly) side:
(A) Cokesbury Road (105 feet).
(2) Near side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:
(A) Cokesbury Road (105 feet)
ii. In the Township of Readington:
(1) Mid-block bus stop along the eastbound (southerly) side:
(A) Between Flemington-Whitehouse Road (CR 523) (Old Route 28) and Cedar Drive - Beginning 260 feet east of the traffic signal on the island at Flemington-Whitehouse Road (CR 523) and extending 135 feet easterly therefrom.
(2) Near side bus stop along the westbound (northerly) side:
(A) Flemington-Whitehouse Road (CR 523) (Old Route 28) - Beginning at the easterly curb line of Old Route 28 and extending 105 feet easterly therefrom.
3. In Somerset County:
i. In the Borough of North Plainfield:
(1) Along Route US 22, eastbound, on the southerly side at:
(A) West End Avenue - (near side) (NJ Transit ID# 28335) - Beginning at the westerly curb line of West End Avenue and extending 105 feet westerly therefrom.
(2) Along Route US 22, eastbound, on the southerly side at:
(A) West End Avenue - (near side) (NJ Transit ID# 30917) - Beginning at the easterly curb line of West End Avenue and extending 105 feet easterly therefrom.
4. In Union County:
i.  In the Township of Scotch Plains:
(1) Near side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:
(A) Willow Avenue - Beginning at the westerly curb line of Willow Avenue and extending 105 feet westerly therefrom.
(B) Haven Avenue - Beginning at the westerly curb line of Jersey Avenue and extending 100 feet westerly therefrom.

iv. In the Township of Union:
(1) Near side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:
No locations at this time.
(2) Far side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:
(A) Sayre Road South – Beginning at the easterly curb line of Sayre Road South and extending 100 feet easterly therefrom.
(3) Mid-block bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:
(A) Between the Union Township – Springfield Township corporate line and Jefferson Avenue – Beginning at a point 575 feet east of the Union Township – Springfield Township corporate line (Rahway River) and extending 135 feet easterly therefrom.
(B) Between Springfield Road South and Michigan Avenue (County Route 617) – Beginning at a point 452 feet east of the easterly curb line of Springfield Road South and extending 135 feet easterly therefrom.
(C) Between Michigan Avenue (County Route 617) and Ball Avenue – Beginning at a point 800 feet east of the easterly curb line of Michigan Avenue (County Route 617) and extending 135 feet easterly therefrom.
(4) Near side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:
(A) Wewanna Avenue - Beginning at the easterly curb line of Wewanna Avenue and extending 105 feet easterly therefrom.

(c) The certain parts of State Highway Route US 22 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "Loading Zones for School Buses”. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-139 and NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established Loading Zones for School Buses only:
1. In Warren County:
i.  In the Town of Phillipsburg:
(1) Loading Zone for School Buses along the westbound (northerly) side:
(A) Beginning at a point 35 feet west of the westerly curb line of Fairview Avenue and extending to a point 50 feet westerly therefrom.
