Overview

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) utilizes software which supports the NJDOT construction program. Developed by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the AASHTOWare Project is a suite of software modules designed to manage the construction program beginning with cost estimation through proposals preparation, bid-letting, awards and construction and materials management. It also provides historical data collection and analysis. AASHTOWare Project is used by the Department, its consultants and contractors, as well as, more than 40 other states in the nation.

NJDOT has implemented the AASHTOWare Project software modules for Estimation, Pre-construction, Expedite (bids), and Site Manager. New Modules for Civil Rights and Labour (CRL) is being usedand sub-modules are curremtly being rolled out.

Consulting firms must use AASHTOWare Project Estimation to prepare detailed and long-range estimates and contractors must use Expedite to prepare and submit bids.
