Prime Consultant Requirements:
To be eligible to submit a Technical Proposal, a firm must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a current prequalification on file and be approved for at least one discipline.
  • Have the firm's accounting system approved by NJDOT (Cost Basis Approval)
  • Meet the requirements of the Professional Services Corporation Act -if applicable (Refer to title 45:8-27 of the New Jersey State Statutes). Certificate of Authorization Information
  • The Firm must also include a company check, cashier's check or money order in the amount of $100.00 payable to "Treasurer, State of New Jersey." No application will be processed until the company check, cashier's check or money order is received.
Sub-Consultant Requirements:
A firm must meet the following requirement:
  • Have the firm's accounting system approved by NJDOT. (Cost Basis Approval)

The completed application should be emailed.

  • Payment is required for NEW and RENEWAL applications ONLY. If you are unsure whether to submit a payment, please contact PSPD@dot.nj.gov or 609-963-2324 prior to submitting payment.
  • Once submitted, the consultant will receive a receipt emailed to the email address on file with the payment. Professional Services will also receive a courtesy email of the remitted payment.
  • Please note that per statutory requirements, the Department is unable to process or review the prequalification application until payment has been received.

 

Please Note:

Prequalification packages must be submitted at a minimum, five (5) business days prior to any proposal submission date to allow for proper review and approval of the package.

Failure to meet this time requirement may result in rejection of a consultant's technical proposal for not being prequalified for a solicitation.

 

After Application Submission:

Prequalification forms will be reviewed by the Bureau of Professional Services. Consultants will be notified of the results.
