On this page, get important facts about New Jersey colleges and universities and learn about costs to attend, financial aid, graduation rates and other details that can help you choose the right school.

Compare New Jersey Colleges

Every year, all institutions of higher education in New Jersey submit comprehensive information to OSHE on the costs to attend, institution-provided financial aid, graduation and transfer rates, and who teaches classes. This information is required by the New Jersey College Student and Parent Consumer Information Act (P.L. 2021, c. 349) and collected through an annual survey.

How to use this dashboard

  • Use the tabs at the top of the dashboard to switch between different sections
  • Each tab has its own set of filters on the right side of the screen
  • You can filter the data to show results for individual colleges and universities
  • Filters only apply to the dashboard tab you’re currently viewing
  • A data dictionary is available to explain terms used in the survey

Note: The dashboard includes data from all colleges and universities because the law was updated to require all schools to submit information. Before the 2020-21 academic year, not all schools were required to report information.

Reports from Colleges

New Jersey institutions of higher education are also required to make this information available on their websites. These reports may include extra notes or explanations that are not included in the dashboard above. Students and parents are urged to access the individual institutional reports.

More College Data

Institutional Profiles: Each public college in New Jersey publishes a yearly report about how the school is doing. These reports include information about enrollment and graduation numbers, academic programs, student services, campus facilities, finances, faculty and staff, and the institution’s strategic goals and progress. The report is required by state law, but what’s included depends on the college.

Helpful College Statistics: Using state and federal data sources, we report on student enrollment and admission, degree trends, graduate outcomes and more. We report this information based on data we collect for the New Jersey Student Unit Record Enrollment System (SURE) and the U.S. Department of Educations’ Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).
